Reflection on Portrait Photography Collection: February 6, 2012. Assignment 10-C.
1.) I think the strong part of my portrait portfolio is the variety of pictures.
2.) I think I could have done better on having self portraits in there. I don't have very many self portraits.
3.) My areas of emphasis were faces and torsos because I didn't want to creep people out by taking pictures of their hands or feet.
4.) The type of balance I used the most was asymmetrical because it was the easiest to do for photography.
5.) I conclude that photography is one of my favorite projects so far. I am definitely interested in taking photography class because I like this project the most out of all the projects.
6.) I learned that it is easy to express yourself through photography. I can use photography to capture my life.
7.) I created them by taking a lot of pictures of people having fun and laughing. It was kind of planned because it captures the moment of someone having fun.
8.) I liked that we got to leave the room so we could have a variety of pictures. I didn't like doing it during the winter though. You could have the project towards the beginning or end of the year when it's warmer out.

9-D: Kite Reflections. February 23, 2012.
1. I think the good/strong part of my kite is my bright colors because it stands out in the sky.
2. I could've have done a better job with my tails because I don't like the clear. I should've used something like red or blue.
3. My design was a red heart with rainbow streaks coming
down from the top. It was very geometric because I used a ruler for all of the lines except the hear.
4. My kites balance was bilateral. I chose bilateral because it looked the best behind the heart.
5. I used rainbow because I like rainbow, but it is mostly warm because the heart
is the biggest and it is red.
6. I learned how to manage my time because I had everything done on time. This will help me with future projects because I won't have anything late.
Exceeding:
7. I did my kite the way I did because I like hearts and rainbows. I planned it.
8. This isn't my favorite project. Mr. Purdy should just make sure he has everything
ready and not do a separate project right in the middle of it.

Clay Creature Reflection (11-D): March 26, 2012.
1. I believe the good/strong part of my scultpure is the shape. It it is held together really nicely.
2. I think I could've done better on this project by adding more texture.
3. I made a snail. I decided to make a snail because I think snails are interesting creatures.
4. My snail has a smooth body, and a coiled shell. He also has little balls for eyes and antennas. My movement frozen in time is crawling.
5. The texture on the body is smooth, but the texture on the shell is rough. I used a rough sponge on the shell.
6. In this project I learned that you need to take the time to add details to things. I can use this in figure skating when I'm choreographing my program, I need to add atristry to it.
Exceeding:
7. I did a snail because they are cute. My snail was not in my preliminary designs, but after I made them, I decided to make a snail.
8. This is definitely a worthwhile project. It was fun. I like clay. You should keep this project the way it is.

Thematic Painting Reflection (12-D): April 20, 2012.
1. I think the strong parts of my paintings are the shapes of the silhouettes.
2. I think I could've done better with my blending on the background.
3. The theme of my painting is love because it is a silhouette of a young couple in a sunset. I chose this because it is the first thing that popped into my mind.
4. The details of my painting are the blending of 5 different colors in the background to make a sunset. They help because they make the silhouette pop out. My sky is black, blue, purple, white, and yellow.
5. The point of emphasis is the silhouette of a young couple. I use bright colors in the background to make it stand out.
6. I learned how that sometimes you have to do things differently than normal. An example is how I had to paint my background before I got to draw the outline of my silhouette.
Exceeding:
7. My painting was by chance. It was not in my preliminary designs, but I did know that I wanted to do a silhouette. I also knew I wanted to have the theme of love.
8. I think you should do this project the way you did with us. I liked this project, but you could use a bigger canvas.
